Bagpipe Tuition in Largs

Largs Bagpiping Club is going strong.
There are only 5 evenings of this practice chanter and bagpipe tuition block still to go so if you used to play, still do play or wish to learn, then come along on a Wednesday evening.
Beginners are from 8-9pm and everyone else 7-8pm.
The club runs in Douglas Park Pavilion, Bowling Club, on the Irvine Road.
Come and join in enjoy your playing in a relaxed atmosphere and make new friends.
Largs bagpiping club offers excellent tuition for novice and experienced pipers alike.
For those who wish to go further in their knowledge there is also the opportunity to study and sit the relevant SQA qualifications.
SQA’s new National Progression Awards (NPAs) and Professional Development Awards (PDAs) in Scottish Bagpipes and Pipe Band Drumming cover the skills and knowledge pipers and drummers need for performing on Scottish Bagpipes or Scottish Pipe Band Drums.
The awards have been developed by SQA in partnership with the Piping and Drumming Qualifications Board (PDQB). They are based on National Standards of design, teaching, assessment and certification.
There are six levels in Piping and four levels in Pipe Band Drumming.
All levels incorporate both Solo Performance and music Theory.
